We are delighted with the work and finish. After my husband died, I decided to have the Proteks System done again in 2014.

When the crew turned up to do the work the first thing they did was Bio Wash the building as they did in 1990. It came up very well and may have needed done again. As I am in my 80's, I knew I would not have to think of doing it again.

I met Mr Crombie in 1992 to discuss work on our flats at Orchard Brae, Edinburgh. The Proteks System was first shown to me at that meeting. I was also looking at other fixes and companies, including roughcasting and painting. Proteks seemed like the best fix, both financially and long lasting

We commissioned the works and Proteks was applied to the existing walls for the first time in 1993.

We definitely made the correct choice, it looks good to this day!

I had Proteks System applied to my bungalow about 2 and a half years ago and the and the difference it has made is remarkable.

The Proteks System is completely waterproof so my pebble dashed walls which stayed wet long after the rain stopped are just a memory. It also stopped the flocks of house martens that pecked off the pebble dash from causing any more damage. It was an easy choice to use Proteks as the cost effective, long-term solution rather than have the pebble dash stripped and replaced. While being waterproof it is also 'breathable' which means that the walls have dried out so now it feels much cosier inside the bungalow.

‍ From initial contact, to surveying the job, to applying the Proteks to answering queries and aftercare everyone involved have been very helpful, responsive, neat, tidy and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending Proteks as company and product.

The work of Jim McGowan and Robbie (Stone mason) was excellent, however Robbie was only asked to point two walls. I paid him to DOA third wall, Jim said other walls need to be done and told you. Nobody came, we pointed remaining walls outselves. Sales person should have made a more accurate assesment of the walls condition aa a result the time taken to do the work was excessive. Hence poor customer service rating.

Painters were not supplied with correct facilities. Monday - they arrived with long brushes unable to reach gutter level. Tuesday - no ladders. Wednesday - no appearance due to weather. Thursday - no ladders. Friday - equipped with roofing ladder. Fortunately I could provide them with two extension ladders which were used with great difficulty due to danger possibility.

James, the painter, kept us informed of work schedule throughout and was extremely helpful. House looking very smart with white and corvette paint colours. We are concerned that the week of painting was wet and temperatures 8° throughout. James reassured us this would not affect the paint or protection it provides.
